Netherlands: ECHONANCE FESTIVAL – #1 Pioneers

October 22, 2022 – 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM EDT
  • « USA: False Harmonics #12
  • USA: RHODRI DAVIES PLAYS ÉLIANE RADIGUE, ELLEN ARKBRO, AND PHILL NIBLOCK »

Microtonalism, drone music, conceptualism, sound installation, intonation, tone, space, are part of a vocabulary used in current musical practices that have an origin in the avant-garde that developed in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s with composers such as Eliane Radigue, Phill Niblock, James Tenney, Alvin Lucier, Stefano Scodanibbio, Annea Lockwood and Peter Ablinger.

Echonance #1 pays tribute to those great pioneers who have contributed so much to sound practices today, and are, some of them, producing inspiring works to this day. We’ll have the great honor to premiere two works by the great Eliane Radigue on this unique occasion.

Echonance #1 Pioneers is the first edition of a yearly festival initiated by composer Claudio F Baroni and Ezequiel Menalled. This edition will take place at Orgelpark, in Amsterdam.
