LECTURE BY BILL MANARIS, PH.D., PROFESSOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE, DIRECTOR OF COMPUTING IN THE ARTS, COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON, US

This talk will discuss some of Xenakis’s works in algorithmic and stochastic music, such as Concrete PH, Metastasis, as well as the UPIC, and speculate about the types of music he might have written if he had access to today’s modern technology of smartphones and computing devices.
