DESCRIPTION:Bowdoin College’s Department of Music invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty appointment in computer music and digital media performance at the Assistant Professor level\, beginning July 1\, 2024. We seek candidates developing and deploying new techniques\, instruments\, and modes of creativity using digital and electronic media. The candidate should be a performer using technology and should have a critical orientation regarding the social and historical significance of music technology in a broad range of genres. \nFaculty duties include developing and teaching courses at the undergraduate level\, conducting research that can include performing and composing\, advising students\, and performing service to the College. The teaching load is two courses per semester\, or three courses a year and direction of a computer music ensemble each semester.
