DESCRIPTION:Bowdoin College’s Department of Music invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty appointment in computer music and digital media performance at the Assistant Professor level\, beginning July 1\, 2024. We seek candidates developing and deploying new techniques\, instruments\, and modes of creativity using digital and electronic media. The candidate should be a performer using technology and should have a critical orientation regarding the social and historical significance of music technology in a broad range of genres. \nFaculty duties include developing and teaching courses at the undergraduate level\, conducting research that can include performing and composing\, advising students\, and performing service to the College. The teaching load is two courses per semester\, or three courses a year and direction of a computer music ensemble each semester. DESCRIPTION:  \nThe University of Oregon School of Music and Dance is seeking highly qualified applicants for an Assistant Professor of Music Technology position with a concentration in Digital Game and Data-related Music and Sound that begins September 16\, 2024.  \nThe position comprises creative and scholarly research as well as teaching duties. Teaching responsibilities will center on courses in data sonification and digital game music and sound and will likely include other courses in the current music technology curricula such as Computer Music Composition\, Studies in Digital Audio Workstations\, Interactive Media Performance\, SensorMusik\, Musical Performance Networks\, History of Electroacoustic Music\, Elements of Electronic Music\, and Performance with Data-driven Instruments.
