Phill Niblock Remembered

Memories and tributes are pouring in for Phill Niblock, composer, filmmaker, artist, reconteur, host, founder of XI Records (with most of electronic music’s pioneers on the label), continuous concerts and performances at his eclectic loft in lower Manhattan…particular, warm-hearted, a “What’s happening?” for a hello, a source and recourse for literally generations of musicians. Condolences to his family, friends and associates. Saying he will be missed does not begin to describe his impact on experimental music of the late 20th century.
