Concerts
EMF Institute’s mission is to create knowledge of this period for future generations. To this end, we plan to present live events of music composed between 1950 and 2000 and offer young composers the opportunities for concert performance.
Joel Chadabe New Music Fund
The idea of an electronic music fund to encourage experimentation, invention, and contribution to the world of electronic music was a goal of EMF Institute’s founder Joel Chadabe. The Joel Chadabe New Music Fund intends to offer composers, technicians, and historians the necessary support in order to develop their work and contribute to the future of electronic music.
Archive and History of Electronic Music
Our long-term goals is to document the stories, reports, sounds, images, and media that were created by the composers, entrepreneurs, scientists, engineers, in short, everyone who was in any way involved in the development of electronic music. An ambitious goal and one which we hope will bring together access to a host of other archives from every corner of the world.
