Xenakis & Japan

The image above is a moment from Xenakis and Japan, an EMF production that took place on February 28, 2010 at Judson Church in New York. The program was based on three electronic works by Iannis Xenakis — Concrète PH, Orient-Occident, and Hibiki-Hana-Ma — with dance choreographed by Luca Veggetti, and two instrumental works; Robert Black performing Theraps by Xenakis, on double base; and James Nyoraku Schlfer performing  Shigure, by Yuji Takahashi, on shakuhachi.
